Dr. Schweizer is highly trained and qualified to help you with dental work, as is every other member of the team at our dental office in Sarasota, FL. Our team knows a great deal about dental insurance and dental work. Kenneth Schweizer, DDS, FICOI

Dr. Kenneth Schweizer is an experienced dentist, and he’s excited to serve every member of your family from age ten and up. Dr. Schweizer currently practices in Sarasota, FL, but he was born in Long Island, New York, and has lived in regions of the world like Mexico, Brazil, and Puerto Rico.


Dr. Schweizer has two sons, and the three of them love Florida’s climate and activities, like its many golf courses and opportunities for boating and fishing.


Dr. Schweizer’s education has been varied. He attended a few universities and studied several subjects, including industrial engineering at both the Georgia Institute of Technology and Syracuse University.



As for his training as a dentist, Dr. Schweizer studies dentistry at the Emory University School of Dentistry. He graduated with a doctorate in dental surgery in 1986—with honors—and has been working in the dental field ever since. He’s a current member of the Sarasota County Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Jillian Porto, DMD

Dr. Jillian Porto was born in Madison, Wisconsin and moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1996. Sarasota has been her home ever since. She graduated with honors from Sarasota High School in 2007 before attending University of South Florida for a degree in Biomedical Science. She then attended University of Florida for her dental degree where she graduated at the top of her class. Dr. Porto received several awards while attending dental school and was selected by faculty as the 2015 Hinman Scholar due to her superior academics. She was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon in 2016, a prestigious dental honor society that recognizes scholarship and character within the profession. Dr. Porto continued her education with a one year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry in Seminole, Florida. In that program, she gained extensive training in multidisciplinary procedures, and surgeries which is a valuable asset to offer her patients. Dr. Porto is so excited to be back in Sarasota near her family again. It is also the perfect location for her hobbies which include boating, fishing, and riding her horse.

Cindy – Office Manager

She moved to Sarasota from California, in 1974. After being a stay-at-home mom for 14 years, Cindy was introduced to dentistry in 1995 when she started working for a pediatric dentist as an office assistant. In 1999, she began working for Dr. Schweizer as an office assistant, which led to her full-time employment ever since. 


She enjoys spending time with her two adult children and grandchildren and she is very proud of their successes. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, carpentry and fishing at her favorite fishing hole and holds the record in the office for catching the largest Snook. (31 ½ in, 9 lb.)  She has a beautiful American Staffordshire Terrier. 


Stacey – Dental Hygienist

Stacey is one of our dental hygienists. She graduated in 1992 from dental assisting school at Port Charlotte Vocational Technical Institute. She was a dental assistant for 5 years before continuing her education at Edison Community College in Fort Myers, earning her dental hygiene degree. She graduated in 1998 and has been part of Dr. Schweizer’s team ever since.



Stacey spends her spare time with her family camping, biking, and traveling. She is a talented scrapbooker. She volunteers at her children’s school and is very involved with the Parent Teacher’s Organization.

Karina – Dental Assistant

Karina is one of our dental assistants. She moved to the United States from Honduras to learn dentistry. She graduated from dental assistant school in Tampa in 1998 in a multilingual program. She worked for the Manatee County Health Department helping migrant workers from the Hispanic community. Her desire to expand her knowledge of dentistry has sparked her keen interest in cosmetic dentistry. She found Dr. Schweizer and has been working for him since 2004. She loves transforming smiles to match the radiant smile she naturally has.



As a single mom, she enjoys spending time with her 2 children. She also likes to volunteer at her children’s school functions.

Noel – Dental Hygienist

Noel moved to Florida in 1984. She started her dental career when she went to Manatee Technical College to become a dental assistant. After assisting for several years, she decided to further her love of dentistry and enrolled in Pensacola Junior College where she was awarded her associate’s degree in dental hygiene. Continuing her quest for achievement, Noel was accepted at the University of Florida School of Health Administration to obtain her bachelor’s of science degree. Today, Noel has her master’s degree in nursing home administration but works in her true love, dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, cooking, camping, and spending free time with her kids and family.

Alicia – Dental Hygienist

Alicia moved to Florida from Iowa in 2015. She attended Sandburg College to obtain her dental hygiene degree. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially her dog, Chloe. She has two children and is very proud of them. She likes to work out and run. She also loves to go to every Dave Matthews concert during the summer.


Sherry – Scheduling

Sherry moved to Florida in 1995, from Illinois, and attended Riverview High School. In 2000 she received her certification in accounting. She graduated from Dental Assisting school in 2014. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but found her niche working the clerical side in customer service. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her 2 children at the beach, sporting events and church.
